Newport News, Virginia-based Aery Aviation is investing $15.3 million on its headquarters, which will result in the creation of over 200 new employment in the area. According to Executive Vice President Scott Beale, the expansion will result in the creation of 211 well-paid jobs with an average pay of $85,000. It also allows them to have their production plant close to where the job is being done, which makes everything run more smoothly.
Gov. Ralph Northam said, “We’ve been dealing with COVID now for 18 months or so it’s been tough on our economy especially certain industries and to have jobs announcements like this will provide people with jobs and the ability to put food on their table.” The aerospace firm, which serves both commercial and government clients, will construct a new 60,000-square-foot hangar with access to the Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport runway.
We are excited to assist Aery Aviation as it moves towards the next chapter of its development in the Commonwealth. The firm, which was created in 2016, specialises in aircraft design, engineering, systems integration, modifications, certification, maintenance, and flight operations. According to Northam’s administration, Virginia won the project over Maryland, Ohio, South Carolina, and West Virginia. According to Beale, construction will begin next week and take 10 to 12 months to finish.
