WATTS INNOVATIONS’ PRISM, a U.S.-made industrial UAS system from Rocky Mountain Unmanned Systems, will be sold, supported, trained on, and integrated throughout North America through RMUS. President and Founder JT Von Lunen said clients have been asking for a U.S.-made drone platform that can carry complicated industrial payloads such as thermal cameras, optical gas imaging cameras, LiDAR systems, etc. These turnkey PRISM solutions will be delivered to market by RMUS, and Watts Innovations combining their capabilities.”
For larger payloads (up to 25 pounds), end-users can select between the quadcopter and X8 coaxial configuration. As a result of the rail-based mounting mechanism, payloads may be put on the platform’s top or bottom. In order to make the Pixhawk-based flight control system as easy to use as possible, a unique user interface was created. The PRISM is also available with a conventional ground control station or one that is NDAA compliant.
General Manager of RMUS Canada Kevin Toderel added “We believe that PRISM-based solutions have a great deal of promise in many industries. In addition, we’re eager to get PRISM into the hands of our clients and continue exploring potential use-case situations that have yet to be discovered.”This platform and turnkey packages are now available for purchase through Watts Innovations.
