The two-stage Falcon 9 rocket was launched into the blue sky from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. The rocket launched carried a number of satellites. Around nine minutes after the launch, the first stage returned to the Cape marking 102nd overall recovery.
This mission named transporter-3 was SpaceX’s third mission in the rideshare program. The rocket was expected to disperse 105 satellites into the Earth’s polar Orbit which circled Earth an hour after the launch. The satellites will examine the earth on a daily basis.
It gave a big opportunity for the small satellite operators to launch their satellites in the Orbit. SpaceX has offered $1 million per launch. SpaceX is planning to launch two Transporter missions per year. Interestingly, the rideshare program is expected to double the launch rate.
